# Presque — Full LLM-readable content Presque (https://getpresque.com/llms-full.txt). Last updated: 2026-08-18. > Presque is a social memory map for iOS. Users drop memories where they happened and find people who were standing in the same spot within a configurable window (default: 50 metres, 30 minutes). Overlaps stay sealed until both people accept. No background location tracking. ## Definition Presque is a social memory map for iOS that finds people who were at the same place and time as you — with mutual consent. Built by Presque Labs Inc. in Montréal, it lets users pin photos, voice notes, or text to exact coordinates and timestamps, then run a radar scan to discover sealed overlaps within a configurable radius (default: 50 metres) and time window (default: ±30 minutes). Unlike live location apps such as Zenly or Lalatok, Presque never tracks you in the background — it only uses places you deliberately attach to memories or EXIF data from photos you import. Overlaps stay anonymous until both people accept; then a shared album and conversation open. The app launches on iOS via TestFlight in 2026 with a free tier (3 radar scans/month) and Pro at $4.99/month. ## How it works ### Step 1: Drop a memory A photograph, a voice note, one honest line of text. It gets pinned to the place it happened and the minute it happened. Import a whole trip at once and Presque reads the timestamps and coordinates already sitting inside your photos. ### Step 2: The radar sweeps It looks for memories that sit inside your radius and inside your window. Fifty metres and thirty minutes, unless you say otherwise. You can widen the window to a whole afternoon, or tighten it to the length of one song. ### Step 3: Both of you say yes An overlap stays sealed until two people open it. No profile appears, no message arrives, until you both agree there is something here. When you both accept, a shared album opens and you can start a conversation. ## Features - **The Vault (Privacy):** Every memory arrives sealed. Nothing is discoverable until you deliberately let it be. - **Scrub the moment (Control):** Drag along a memory to widen or narrow the window you are findable in. - **Two sides of one moment (Connection):** When an overlap opens, both memories sit together on one card. - **Kindred (Matching):** Interest-based matching when taste lines up, without waiting for a place overlap. - **Trip import (Capture):** Hand over a camera roll from one journey. Presque places every frame on the map via EXIF. - **The Atlas (Archive):** Read your history as a map or as a tree by year and place. - **Event pages (Gatherings):** Six-letter codes at festivals for priority crowd matching. - **Near misses (Second chances):** Coincidences just outside your radius land in an inbox instead of vanishing. ## Pricing - **Free ($0/month):** 3 radar scans/month, 1 trip import/month, unlimited Vault storage, mutual-consent matching, near-miss inbox, Atlas views, event code entry. - **Pro ($4.99/month):** Unlimited scans and imports, AI memory search, Kindred matching, priority support. - **Event Pass ($2.99/gathering):** Priority matching for one festival or venue event. ## FAQ ### Does Presque follow me around in the background? No — Presque does not track your location in the background. It only knows about a place because you posted a memory there or imported a photograph with embedded GPS coordinates. The app never requests "always" location permission. Your memories sit in a private Vault by default; you choose which ones become discoverable and set radius and time window per memory. ### How close does "the same place" have to be? By default, fifty metres and thirty minutes. You control both values per memory — from a few metres to a whole neighbourhood, and from one minute to 24 hours. Near misses land in an inbox when someone was close but outside your radius. ### Can somebody find me without me knowing? Someone can discover a memory you made discoverable — but they cannot see your name, face, or other memories until you both accept. Presque requires mutual consent before any identity or conversation opens. ### What happens to a memory I delete? It disappears from your Atlas immediately and is purged from storage and the overlap index within thirty days. ### Do I have to post old photographs to use it? No, but importing a camera roll is the fastest way to discover how many people you have already presque met via EXIF metadata. ### What are event codes? Six-letter keys tying a crowd to one place and one weekend. Event Pass costs $2.99 per gathering for boosted matching. Codes do not bypass mutual consent. ### When does it open, and what does it cost? iOS TestFlight in 2026 via waitlist. Free tier: 3 radar scans + 1 trip import/month. Pro: $4.99/month. Event Pass: $2.99/gathering. ## Competitor comparison | App type | Examples | Model | Presque difference | |----------|----------|-------|-------------------| | Live location | Zenly, Lalatok, Kin | Real-time friend maps | Presque: retrospective memory matching, no live GPS | | Ephemeral pins | PinPoint | 24-hour location pins | Presque: persistent Atlas, EXIF import | | Vibe matching | Crossd | AI moment matching | Presque: place-time geometry with consent gate | | Photo metadata | Ever Been | Shared places with contacts | Presque: stranger discovery + festival codes | ## Festival pages - Event pages are not public yet.
