## How it works

### Step 1: Drop a memory
A photograph, a voice note, one honest line of text. It gets pinned to the place it happened and the minute it happened. Import a whole trip at once and Presque reads the timestamps and coordinates already sitting inside your photos.

### Step 2: The radar sweeps
It looks for memories that sit inside your radius and inside your window. Fifty metres and thirty minutes, unless you say otherwise. You can widen the window to a whole afternoon, or tighten it to the length of one song.

### Step 3: Both of you say yes
An overlap stays sealed until two people open it. No profile appears, no message arrives, until you both agree there is something here. When you both accept, a shared album opens and you can start a conversation.

## FAQ

### Does Presque follow me around in the background?
No — Presque does not track your location in the background. It only knows about a place because you posted a memory there or imported a photograph with embedded GPS coordinates. The app never requests "always" location permission. Your memories sit in a private Vault by default; you choose which ones become discoverable and set radius and time window per memory.

### How close does "the same place" have to be?
By default, fifty metres and thirty minutes. You control both values per memory — from a few metres to a whole neighbourhood, and from one minute to 24 hours. Near misses land in an inbox when someone was close but outside your radius.

### Can somebody find me without me knowing?
Someone can discover a memory you made discoverable — but they cannot see your name, face, or other memories until you both accept. Presque requires mutual consent before any identity or conversation opens.

### What happens to a memory I delete?
It disappears from your Atlas immediately and is purged from storage and the overlap index within thirty days.

### Do I have to post old photographs to use it?
No, but importing a camera roll is the fastest way to discover how many people you have already presque met via EXIF metadata.
